Magic Weapon Upgrade Bug

Obtaining the "Incantations Book" before buying a second spell seems to break the option to upgrade spells. The menu opens just fine, but you can't highlight the spell to select it. The confirm audio does play when you hit the button though. I only bought the Molotov until I discovered the bug. After buying the boomerang I was then able to select a spell and upgrade it accordingly.

I doubt many players would ever do this but I figured I'd mention it just in case.

Weird, I thought it worked with only one spell. I've added this to the list to check out!

Cam confirm. Also it worked before so maybe some change in the latest patch?

Having trouble reproducing this for some reason. Which spell did you have? Also did you have gems in your inventory?

I can try to reproduce it late tonight if you want.

steps;
1. go through a new game, picking up the witch then the scholar.
2. return to town and buy dagger spell. Not sure if I "talked" to the witch or not. I'm 75% that I did.
3 go through the game without returning to town until I get the slide
4. go back to town only to get the shovel
5. return to the mines and catacombs getting everything I can no access
6. return to town, talk to the witch, try to upgrade knife spell (with the gems that are in my inventory). Can't upgrade
7. Buy Shuriken spell. Now I can upgrade either one
