Bit Kid

So, my pal is making this shmup game as a school assignment and asked me to do something for it... so I decided to do the graphics, sounds, and music. It's pretty bare bones atm, but we're constantly adding everything that comes to mind in it. Programmed with C++/SDL and currently controlled with keyboard/controller. Suggestions are welcome.

We like all the weird prototypey and fake military shit from the early 20th century. The chopper you see there is like a larger version of the Bell remote control helicopter.

Really love the font you chose (or made). Will definitely give this a shot when it's done.

What font? The logo is Tahoma and the buttons are Times New Roman.

Amazing what some background art will do right! Looking really cool man. I like the fire mode of the blimp, and the bomb dropping looks awesome. Definitely needs some ground artillery or troops though. Could see it being pretty crazy if you had jeeps, tanks, and artillery positions to worry about as well
