Suggested engines?
What would be a good engine to use to make a game like this? Tried playing around with 3D engines but old fashioned games is what I enjoy more

I still highly recommend XNA/MonoGame if you like 2D stuff. It's very powerful, and in the scheme of things not too difficult to pick up. There's a lot of flexibility, and you can do true native low resolution stuff if you like pixel games.
