Yep, I did a Pacifist run of Chasm!

Its long, but if you want to watch it:


Its totally do-able. That is, until the fine folks at Discord Games patch it :D

Have You ever tried Cap 1 Hard Mode in the Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin? :D In that mode You can never have level higher than 1 (so basically Your character cannot gain any experience points and level up). And Your character dies if he is hit by an enemy's attack.

Quite a good run, congratulations! Pacifist Runs are a step above my patience, not to mention I can't resist killing everything in sight for Essence.

Wow. hope the game devs keep this in mind. Always great to have alternative gameplay types like this as a viable option for hardcore players.

So, what with the most recent feature of seed entering in Alpha 0.43, I have been testing out this seed. Let me tell you what it DOES keep identical:

1. Map Layout. Every room stays as it is.
2. Enemy Selection. Same enemies at each Spot.
3. The Catacombs Combination

However, drops from boxes and chests are not identical, so the bottle drop was, in fact, a great stroke of luck!

But, with a stable map, I have been working on routing the Pacifist run. Maybe in a couple of weeks, Ill have a faster run. Shooting for 25 minutes!

OK. Gave it another go tonight, and beat my Goal time! I think I could get it down to 22 minutes with some better platforming....

So, the new update killed the run :( but thats OK, I knew it would be like this till the retail release (and probably beyond). So, Ill keep at it, and look for good seeds. meanwhile, if anyone finds good seeds, let me know.
