Is it based entirely on gold value? If it is like that, then I feel like it is fairly transparent and I feel alright about it. I think it could be a bit of a pain if there are hidden internal calculations at work.

I've been enjoying blind runs a lot. Haven't messed around with seeds at all yet. I never seem to get lucky with floor 3 though and just go the right direction ... my best run I picked up a scroll to show me the last levels map... so that helped
