I use a 360 controller too and I have noticed this as well. Not that I would use the thumbstick for this sort of game, but I did try it first anyhow. Merchants/way back to town = omg please. And tying into things, carry weight should be increased by either constitution or strength. Likely Con. Just, something like that isn't implemented. I like how the menu screen looks at the moment when you hit ESC. Having your stats pop-up on screen can be both distracting and block your view depending on what you're doing.
