Can you pastebin the contents of crashlog.txt? That will help greatly.

Here are the Finnish files if anyone wants to test:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/596 ... .0.1.1.xnb
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/596 ... .0.1.1.xnb

Some minor overlappings with the GUI elements, but mostly good!

Here's the crashlog: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/596 ... ashlog.txt

EDIT: Oh Marcel, there's no text for that Normal text at the Status:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/596 ... asmfin.png

Christ, Finnish is a stupid language to translate to. Everything is too long! Every four letter word would be better as a five letter word and every three letter word would be better as four letter word!

I need to fix those overlaps, I have the right-alignment hardcoded for the English version. I've added it to my list to fix for 1.06.

It looks like it's not finding the line of dialogue it needs. Did you change the Speaker column at all? You should only modify the actual dialogue, not the keys.

I don't think I did. Here's the shot from the editor:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/59633503/editor.png

I'll try reverting to the original and then going back.

EDIT: Yeah, no luck. I revert to the original, change one line from the Crone and it still crashes. Curiously that sentence didn't even have any of the ä or ö letter we like to use in Finnish. 8-)

BTW: I have no idea what "The miners were working in one of the passages on the second shelf last I heard." means. What is a shelf?

Hey, if I change the name from "Crone" to "Vanha eukko" in the STRINGS, does that affect it not finding the right line? Just a thought.

It's actually the reverse of what I thought LOL. Whatever you set Prop_Char_* to in strings.xnb, you need to set "speaker" to the same in dialogue.xnb. It should work fine then.

Shelf is "floor" in miner terms. It's actually wrong because the GDC demo was only 2 floors, but now its extended to 3. I added it to my list to fix :D

Ugh haha,

so I will have to make the speaker editable, too? Good thing I've already made it possible for the next version :)
I guess if that's the problem for the game crashing, I will implement some hint for the users, when opening the strings file. I will also implement a "find/replace" tool then hehe.

I don't think it's funny to replace 10000 times "Crone" with "Vanha eukko" in future releases hehe.

Thanks for the info Ianuarius ! I will get into this stuff as soon as i am back from work :)

The "Normal" should be inside one of the other .XNB files. They will be editable in the next version I hope.
The button text "accept" and the Intro text should be replacable too.
Soon, there will be a cool link for Chasm translations here...hopefully :P

OK, scratch changing the key in dialogue.xnb. I went ahead and updated the .exe to use a hardcoded value for the dialogue keys. Now it should just work without having to change those! The patch file was just updated, so just redownload for newest version.
