@James I got the Iron Sabre one time, so that's one of them. Also, are you sure it's not related to player level when generating the next floor's chest's loot? That would explain why I can crash the game by leveling to level 12/13 and then entering a new floor regardless of what floor I'm proceeding...

My flavor-based thought on this was a sort of 'rebuilt minecart track' at the checkpoints. Granted that only makes sense for the mines segment.

When I play next, I'm going to count the number of chests I open before it crashes. If there's a fixed number per level, I should note that it happened two times in a row for me as the last chest on floor 5 when looting everything, so maybe that's the magic number.
