While I don't know about that last paragraph, that is a great idea. Stuff like having a swing delay (slower transition to the swinging animation that's around when you deal damage, with no extra damage-dealing time) or increased knockback would certainly make for a more interesting challenge.

I disagree about that taunting thing, if anything it should cause enemies (within range) to rush you (in a line or shortest path) with a slight damage bonus. Bats also aren't really that difficult to deal with so long as you time your jump-attacks just right, IMO. As for the buying problem, somethin...

So my idea was that in some sort of options menu, players could manually set the hexadecimal value of certain parts of the character. Take the eyes in this picture for example. Had both the Imperial Sword and Dagger, plus Hide Cap and Plate Mail... Level 8 too, I think. A shame I couldn't take a screenshot inside the game, it always came out blank.

Took me several tries to get it just right, but after memorizing the layout and getting some dodging practice, I ended up with this time. Fists & daggers > swords.
