Re: Fountain in town
Sleeping on the bed restores health and mana, if memory serves. And it's free! Paying attention to the "Y" prompt is your friend. ;) I was kinda tempted to suggest that the fountain should just restore one or the other, while the inn costs money to restore BOTH, but I then realized that it's kinda ...

Re: Any chance we could see Chasm on Psvita?
It may be better to develop it for PSP and have it certified for play on Vita. That way, you have the benefit of the PSP's install base (which is larger than the Vita's install base), yet people who have a Vita can still play.discordgames wrote:Probably Vita only, one port is enough work!

Re: Discarded Items Tigger Switches & Bombs
That actually *is* a cool idea. There should be a penalty for it, though. I suggest having it so explosions destroy items that're within range. And maybe blowing up (or burning) enemies reduces the variety of what they can drop.

Re: Opinions on bottomless pits.
I don't feel that "bottomless" pits (I'll just call them pitfalls.) make sense in games like this. You have to be really careful about how they're displayed. If it's not blatantly obvious which pitfalls are deadly and which ones are necessary for progression, then I'd prefer to not see them. I don't...

I'm pretty sure that this would allow Chasm to run on any computer that has Chrome installed on it, too. Probably not a bad idea.

Re: Level Up
I prefer to not have to do that unless the game is making it a point to offer multiple classes. In a game with a single playable character with a predefined storyline and origin, I don't see the need for stat distribution. I like the current approach.

Re: The 80 point confusion.
Depends on the platform. Frankly, I wouldn't put much faith in XBLA or XBLIG to make most developers a ton of money. Just release it for $4.99 or less on Steam, and plenty of people will buy it. If the game *does* end up costing more than that, then I'd suggest either of the following: - Start out s...

Re: Aiming up and down.
I'd prefer that the controls remain as simple as possible. If aiming *is* added to projectile attacks, then I'd prefer that it be in the form of a small amount of auto-aim being applied to said projectile attacks according to an accuracy stat or something like that.
